The Youth, Adult and Community Services (YACS) Department was created in 2003 and oversees an array of services throughout the county related to youth and senior needs as well as volunteer programming. The following departments are coordinated locally through this office:

Campbell County Community Volunteerism is defined as the joining of the collective efforts of citizens and organizations to enhance the outcome of our community development efforts for a positive future for generations to come.

Campbell County Children's Services Act (CSA) Office uses a collaborative system of services and funding that is child centered, family focused and community based. Local teams review the strengths and needs of troubled and at risk youth and their families to develop a service plan that best meets the needs of the families.

Campbell County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is part of Senior Corps, a network of national service programs that provides older Americans the opportunity to apply their life experience to a diverse range of non-profit organizations and agencies. The Campbell County program has been in existence for more than 30 years.  RSVP is open to people age 55 and older.  Currently there are over 200 local volunteers serving more than 40 local agencies.

HIPE (Healthy Individuals through Prevention and Education)

Virginia Juvenvile Community Crime Control Act (VJCCCA) provides state funding for juvenile justice oriented programs or services that provide an alternative to secure detention.

Our Mission
